“When Oasis India came to our village, they provided me with a female Hampshire piglet and comprehensive livestock management training. This training taught me essential piglet care, nutrition, and maintaining a healthy environment, ensuring the piglets thrived. Finds her own path for success
In Songpi, Manipur, Lamneihoi faces similar struggles as Indhu. She takes care of her sick mother-in-law and her five little children. Lamneihoi’s husband is a daily wage labourer, and they struggle to survive only on his earnings. Therefore, Lamneihoi decided to join Oasis India’s trainings in our Songpi hub in Churachandpur to learn about making everyday items used at home and generating income from them. Indhu, a superwoman
Indhumathi, 31, is a superwoman! She takes care of her big family of three children, her husband, her in-laws, and her sister-in-law’s family in Chennai! Indhu wakes up at 5 a.m. and makes sure that everyone has their breakfast and lunch packed for the day. Although she works tirelessly for her family, her efforts are not often appreciated. Indhu wanted to work, but she was not allowed to as she had to take care of the family. Creating a future for herself
Arbiya and her mother have teamed up to become successful entrepreneurs in their community! Not interested in studying beyond the 10th grade, Arbiya wanted to pursue learning tailoring. She joined Oasis India’s six-month vocational tailoring course at Hallegudhadahalli in Bangalore. Arbiya’s mother is a tailor and had her own little tailoring shop. After joining this course at Oasis India, Arbiya aced it and even learned to stitch her own dress. She developed great confidence and sews clothes for others. Manju, a community warrior’s thank you note
Manju Gupta is a change agent at Oasis India. She helps address the needs in her community and helps raise awareness about human trafficking. In her card, she has written: “Thank you all very much for helping take good care of our children. Our children’s future will be bright because of you. We are unable to do this for our children, but you have done it. You have helped with education, good manners, teaching discipline, and giving nutrition to help them grow better.
