Meet The Team
Mangneo Lhungdim joined as Executive Director of Oasis India in October 2016. He has been progressively engaged in the development sector since 1998. Prior to joining Oasis India, at Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) Mangneo held the Deputy Director position leading the senior management team in implementing national flagship development and humanitarian programmes. He is also a trained peace advocate (MPI-Mindanao) and has supported the initial phase of the Joint Peace Mission Team (JPMT) in North-east India during and in the aftermath of conflicts.
Sulekha serves as our Deputy Director and heads the Prevention of Human trafficking and Partnership development work of Oasis India, along with overseeing the projects in west and south. Since joining Oasis India in 2008, she has effectively managed support functions in Health and psychosocial, as well as Learning and Livelihoods.
An alumnus of University of Mumbai, Sulekha has over a decade of experience in health education as Senior Tutor, Bombay Nurses Training Institute of Bombay Hospital and Dr. B. Nanavati Hospital, as well as volunteered with like-minded organisations in the city. Her extensive background uniquely positions her to drive impactful change within Oasis India.
Having graduated (B.Com) from Mumbai University, Jayasheepa has a varied experience from handling accounts in SNEHA NGO for 2 years and then committedly serving Oasis India since 14 years. A thorough professional, over the years Jayasheepa has contributed greatly in shaping and strengthening financial management for Oasis India and now doubles up in efficiently managing administrative responsibilities as well for the Mumbai region.

Tongkhomang Haokip (Mang) joined Oasis India in May 2021 as Manager NE India with a Post Graduate degree in Sociology with 22 years of experience in the development sector has untiring passion to serve the needy and marginalised. He started his career in a national humanitarian relief and development organization and continues to serve for 22 years in other similar agencies. A self-made and passionate holistic development worker, during which he has gained first-hand experiences in administration, training, project management, community development and transformation, disaster preparedness and relief, Organizational Development, and in education and school improvement. Prior to joining Oasis India, he served in the capacity of Managing Director in SPTWD – for 5 years, and earlier in a as Director - Programmes in NEICORD for 5 years, and Programme Coordinator – Project, Training, Monitoring Officer and administration in EFICOR for 12 years.
He is currently Head of DRR/CCA/ER & NE
Tanya Verony heads the Chennai team at Oasis India. She has been with Oasis since October 2018. Tanya has been leading ANEW, an organization working for women empowerment prior to Oasis for more than 8 years. Moved by passion into social work, she holds Masters in Physics from University of Madras and Business Administration from Anna University. She enjoys her recent role working on improving quality of lives, developing and empowering Chennai communities, engaging local people in creating change which gives her a sense of positive emotional feelings and life satisfaction that being the point of convergence to become a change maker.
Diana Jagtap, HR Manager-learning and development. 4.5 years of experience in entire human resource management. Currently pursuing labour law from Bharati Vidyapeeth -Pune (distance education)
Shraddha Shelke joined Oasis India in November 2006 and has since played a pivotal role in leading various community development and anti-human trafficking initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in the development sector, Shraddha has consistently demonstrated her expertise in managing projects focused on women’s welfare, empowerment, and rehabilitation. Before joining Oasis India, Shraddha held key roles at organizations such as World Vision India and Bombay Community Public Trust (BCPT), where she worked on community engagement, school adoption programs, and youth empowerment. Her experience spans project management, donor relations, counselling, and staff development, making her an integral part of Oasis India's mission.
Vishwas Udgirkar heads the Fund Raising and Communications team at Oasis India. He has been with Oasis since September 2014. Vishwas has also been working in developing and executing organizational strategy for Fund Raising. Prior to joining Oasis India, he was involved in sensitising young people on various social issues, resource mobilization and event management . Vishwas chose to be in the social sector as he really wished to pursue a career that is more meaningful and fulfilling, not only professionally but personally as well.
He holds a degree in Masters in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Christ college. Before joining Oasis India in 2016, he had a fulfilling career in the corporate world for a little more than a decade, in the capacity of managing and handling teams in the area of customer care support for UK and US customers. As he always wanted to follow his heart’s desire in reaching out to people in the communities, he, therefore, took a career break and pursued his interest in counseling from UTC, Bangalore which helped him to empower individuals, families, and small groups emotionally. During this phase it has given him a lot of exposure to the unmet needs of the underprivileged communities of our society, to reach out to the marginalized, and to help and care for the people in need.

Equipped with Graduation from St Joseph’s University & MA in Applied Sociology from Christ University Bangalore, Sandhya has always been passionate about working in the development sector. A self-driven person with penchant for teaching, she specialises in capacity building programmes for Children and Youth. Research Methodology and Qualitative Analysis is another forte of her. She had a stint with Asha Foundation and Serious Fun as a Leadership Trainer. Since 2016 she has been part of Oasis India, starting in the capacity of a Youth Support Officer. Occasionally she also offers her services to St Joseph’s University as a Guest Lecturer for Sociology and Industrial Relations. Her cheerful countenance and friendly disposition helps her to strike chord across age groups in the projects.
Passion for academic and student development and history of success in developing effective strategies. Lamtinneng Haokip (M.Sc. Phy., B. Ed., DCA, Cert. in Applied electronics & Computer hardware, Cert. in IT and ‘C’ certificate in NCC) joined Oasis as an Acting Principal to head the new extended venture of the organisation Oasis Academy. Prior to Oasis she was teaching in Ryan International School, Bengaluru. Accomplished in aligning academic and instructional visions and working with professional, para-professionals and administrative staffs to established and maintain high reaching standards and to facilitate holistic growth.
Ms. Hallelui Singson holds a Master of Arts in Social Work with a specialization in Women and Children from the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Manipur campus, her academic background complements her hands-on experience, allowing her to address the diverse needs of the communities she serves.
As a dedicated counselor with extensive experience at the Centre for Mental Hygiene in Imphal, Manipur, and as a counselor at ChildLine under Rural Aid Service in Churachandpur, Ms. Singson brings a compassionate approach to her work, guiding individuals towards healing and recovery.
Henminthang holds a Post Graduate degree in Sociology and a Bachelor's in Arts. Before joining Oasis India, he worked as a Volunteer at NYKS which mainly focuses on developing and uplifting unemployed youths and youth clubs in rural areas, and as a Program Coordinator-project, monitoring, and survey for 1 year at CCA.
Mr. Sundeep is an entrepreneur and talent transformation specialist with 28 years’ experience in services and corporate fields. Sundeep previously was AVP (India Lead (L&D) at Xchanging India (Acquired by CSC). He is a certified trainer & practitioner and a Master Trainer in areas of Team Building, Leadership, and Communication etc.
He was also a professional photographer and taught photography to equip the NGO movement in India and abroad. He is a sports person and currently plays table tennis for the Karnataka Veterans State team in the 50+ category and has won 7 National medals so far.
Sundeep has recently qualified to represent India in the above 50 group for the World Masters Games-2021, Japan next 2021.
He holds a Diploma in NGO Management and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Costing and Administration.

Mr. Vaibhav is CEO at Udhhar (Transforming the unreached with sustainability) Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He has MBA (Marketing & Finance) and has served at an international charity for 10 years before starting Udhhar as a mission in 2017. Vaibhav is passionate about child development and community development. He has over 20 years of experience in child and community development sector. He has expertise in Programme, Partnership Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Capacity Building, Program Management, Advocacy, Networking and resource mobilization, Public speaking, Public Relations and strategic planning. Vaibhav was inducted into Oasis India society in the year 2020 and was elected as Vice President of the Committee of Management at the AGM 2022 for a six-year term.
Dr. Kimneihat Vaiphei is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatric Social Work in National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). She has a Master’s in Social Work, an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work. Her interest is on Women mental health, linked with perinatal clinic and is involved with psychosocial assessment and interventions, marital and family intervention, group work intervention with caregivers and spouses of women, bonding assessment, and intervention. She lives by the motto ‘live and let live’. You will find her listening to music, doing DIY craft, watching football matches in her leisure time. she is fluent in English, Hindi, Mizo and Manipuri. At NIMHANS, she is also the Co-Investigator of Project Stree Manoraksha (Funded by Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India). Dr. Kimneihat was inducted to the board of Oasis India in 2020 and as a member of Committee of Management. She has assumed the position of Honorary Secretary w.e.f. July 2022. .
Dr. Ezhil Christadoss, Ph.D. (Chemistry)
Honorary Treasurer.Dr. Ezhil Christadoss brings extensive experience in academia and leadership, having held key roles in college administration and the development sector, with a focus on HIV/Health, Education, and Youth Development. After his retirement as Principal, Voorhees College, Vellore he served as Honorary Treasurer on Oasis India board for one term and as President /Chairman of the board for a full term from 2016 to 2022.
Dr. Ezhil is also the founding Chairman of the Academic Council at Oasis Academy/OCES in Guwahati.
Ms. Kim Maria Misao is an independent development consultant with 20 years of experience.
She is a former Country Director, The Slaves, New Delhi, and has extensively worked in the arena of Sustainable Development vis a vis the Sustainable Development Goals (livelihood, health, education). An alumnus of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Gujarat, and Jesus & Mary College, Delhi University, Kim has worked with CASA, India Foundation for Humanistic Development, HIVOS, Foundation For Ecological Security (FES), Feminist Approach to Technology, Skill Share International before taking over the Country Directorship at Free the slaves USA.
Kim Maria brings to the board of Oasis India two decades of mid and senior management experience working in national and international non-profit organizations in various states of India.
Mr. David is an experienced development professional with demonstrated capacities in Strategic Planning, Program Evaluation, Strategic Partnerships for NGOs. Strong team management skills with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Osmania University. Till recently he was with B-ABLE (Basix Academy For Building Lifelong Employability) as Business Head and also as Head of South States. Also as Head-National Employability Centre for a short stint. David has a very extensive experience in International and national field across eastern India (Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha), North India states and south India and has held senior responsibilities in Catholic Relief Services, National Employability Centre and Centre for Vocational Education & Workforce Development. He also served as Executive Director, ECLOF India. .
