Mangneo Lhungdim
Executive Director

Mangneo Lhungdim joined as Executive Director of Oasis India in October 2016. He has been progressively engaged in the development sector since 1998. Prior to joining Oasis India, at Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) Mangneo held the Deputy Director position leading the senior management team in implementing national flagship development and humanitarian programmes. He is also a trained peace advocate (MPI-Mindanao) and has supported the initial phase of the Joint Peace Mission Team (JPMT) in North-east India during and in the aftermath of conflicts.

Sulekha Thapa
Head of Programmes

Sulekha heads our projects in both south and West. She also manages several support functions. An alumnus of University of Mumbai, Sulekha comes with grassroots experience in healthcare, counseling, learning and Livelihoods and Prevention of Human Trafficking in an NGO set up. She has over a decade of experience in health education as Senior Tutor, Bombay Nurses Training Institute of Bombay Hospital and Dr. B. Nanavati Hospital.

Meena Jebaraj
Head of Finance & Administration

Meena has over 16 years of experience in the NGO sector as a finance professional. Prior to joining Oasis, Meena has held different roles in various capacities in World Vision and Bangalore Baptist Hospital. She obtained a B.Com degree from Bangalore University, and a MBA (Financial Accounting) from the Indian Institute of Business Management & Studies, Mumbai.

She is currently acting Head of Finance & Administration.

Vishwas Udgirkar
Manager- Fund Raising & Communication

Vishwas Udgirkar heads the Fund Raising and Communications team at Oasis India. He has been with Oasis since September 2014. Vishwas has also been working in developing and executing organizational strategy for Fund Raising. Prior to joining Oasis India, he was involved in sensitising young people on various social issues, resource mobilization and event management . Vishwas chose to be in the social sector as he really wished to pursue a career that is more meaningful and fulfilling, not only professionally but personally as well.

Philip Devaraj
Programme Manager - Bangalore & Punganur

He holds a degree in Masters in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Christ college. Before joining Oasis India in 2016, he had a fulfilling career in the corporate world for a little more than a decade, in the capacity of managing and handling teams in the area of customer care support for UK and US customers. As he always wanted to follow his heart’s desire in reaching out to people in the communities, he, therefore, took a career break and pursued his interest in counseling from UTC, Bangalore which helped him to empower individuals, families, and small groups emotionally. During this phase it has given him a lot of exposure to the unmet needs of the underprivileged communities of our society, to reach out to the marginalized, and to help and care for the people in need.

Shraddha Shelke
Programme Manager - West

Shraddha Shelke originally from Pune, I have completed my Masters of Social Work degree.

From 2006 I am working with Oasis India now I am looking after Nalasopara and Kamathipura as a Sr Manager.

Tanya Verony
Programme Manager - Chennai

Tanya Verony heads the Chennai team at Oasis India. She has been with Oasis since October 2018. Tanya has been leading ANEW, an organization working for women empowerment prior to Oasis for more than 8 years. Moved by passion into social work, she holds Masters in Physics from University of Madras and Business Administration from Anna University. She enjoys her recent role working on improving quality of lives, developing and empowering Chennai communities, engaging local people in creating change which gives her a sense of positive emotional feelings and life satisfaction that being the point of convergence to become a change maker.

Diana Jagtap
Manager HR & LD

Diana Jagtap, HR Manager-learning and development. 4.5 years of experience in entire human resource management. Currently pursuing labour law from Bharati Vidyapeeth -Pune (distance education)

Jayasheepa Nambi
Manager- Finance & Admin - West

Having graduated (B.Com)  from Mumbai University, Jayasheepa has a varied experience from handling accounts in SNEHA NGO for 2 years and then committedly serving Oasis India since 14 years.  A thorough professional, over the years Jayasheepa has contributed greatly in shaping and strengthening financial management for Oasis India and now  doubles up in efficiently managing administrative responsibilities as well for the Mumbai region.

Jayasheepa currently serves in the capacity as Manager- Finance and Admin - West.( Mumbai region)

Sandhya Catherine
Education cum Project MEAL Officer

Equipped with Graduation from St Joseph’s University & MA in Applied Sociology from Christ University Bangalore, Sandhya has always been passionate about working in the development sector. A self-driven person with penchant for teaching, she specialises in capacity building programmes for Children and Youth. Research Methodology and Qualitative Analysis is another forte of her. She had a stint with Asha Foundation and Serious Fun as a Leadership Trainer. Since 2016 she has been part of Oasis India, starting in the capacity of a Youth Support Officer. Occasionally she also offers her services to St Joseph’s University as a Guest Lecturer for Sociology and Industrial Relations. Her cheerful countenance and friendly disposition helps her to strike chord across age groups in the projects.

Tongkhomang Haokip
Manager - NE

Tongkhomang Haokip (Mang) joined Oasis India in May 2021 as Manager NE India with a Post Graduate degree in Sociology and 22 years of experiences in development sector. He started his career in a national humanitarian relief and development organization and continues to serve for 22 years in other similar agencies. A self-made and passionate holistic development worker, during which he has gained first-hand experiences in administration, training, project management, community development and transformation, disaster preparedness and relief, Organizational Development, and in education and school improvement. Prior to joining Oasis India, he served in the capacity of Managing Director in SPTWD – a national nonprofit for 5 years, and earlier as Director - Programmes in NEICORD for 5 years, and Programme Coordinator – Training, Project and Relief, and Monitoring Officer in EFICOR for 12 years.

Dr . Ezhil Christadoss

Dr. Ezhil Christadoss serves on our Committee of Management as the President. He worked at Voorhees College in Vellore for many years in the Chemistry Department as Burser and recently retired as the Principal. Dr. Ezhil has also been a faculty at the Haggai Institute National & International, and also served as Manager of Adaikalam HIV/AIDS project.

Mr. Sundeep Sadarangani

Mr. Sundeep is an entrepreneur and talent transformation specialist with 28 years’ experience in services and corporate fields. Sundeep previously was AVP (India Lead (L&D) at Xchanging India (Acquired by CSC). He is a certified trainer & practitioner and a Master Trainer in areas of Team Building, Leadership, and Communication etc. He was also a professional photographer and taught photography to equip the NGO movement in India and abroad. He is a sports person and currently plays table tennis for the Karnataka Veterans State team in the 50+ category and has won 7 National medals so far. Sundeep has recently qualified to represent India in the above 50 group for the World Masters Games-2021, Japan next 2021. He holds a Diploma in NGO Management and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Costing and Administration.

Dr. Kimneihat Vaiphei

Assistant professor at Department of Psychiatric Social Work, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Services (NIMHANS), Bangalore. Her interest is on Women mental health, linked with perinatal clinic and is involved with psychosocial assessment and interventions, marital and family intervention, group work intervention with caregivers and spouses of women, bonding assessment and intervention. Elizabeth taught at St. Johns’ Medical College for a decade before joining NIMHANS in 2017.

Mr. Vijay Alexander

Mr. Vijay Alexander is a member of the Committee of Management of Oasis India. He has worked with Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (as Vice-President, Banking Consulting); ANZ Grindlays Bank plc (as Head, Financial Markets Sales–S.India); and State Bank of India, Mumbai (as Probationary Officer). He has earned B.A.(Hons), 1979 & M.A. Econ History, 1981, St Stephen’s College, Delhi University. M Phil, 1985, Centre for Historical Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. FRM, Global Association of Risk Professionals, 2001. He has vast experience in the banking and IT sectors. Vijay recently stepped down as a Vice President for Oracle Finance Service Software Ltd., Bangalore where he managed the FLEXCUBE Consulting delivery team for wealth management products and strategic business process consulting around core banking solutions. An alumnus of St Stephen’s College and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Vijay is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Associates of Risk Professionals, NYC.

Dr. Hemkhothang Lhungdim
Dr. Hemkhothang Lhungdim is a Professor and Head, Department of Public Health and Mortality Studies - International Institute of Population Sciences, Mumbai-400088 Prof Lhungdim obtained M.A., M.Phil. and PhD from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development (CSRD) Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi and joined IIPS (Mumbai) in 1995. Prof Lhungdim has been involved across the country in the National Health flagship program under the Ministry of Health and bilateral agencies. He has also been involved in developing/preparing course modules, coordinating MA/MSc programs, training workshops (as trainer and organiser), and presented papers at national and international seminars/conferences. He has also received training in demography at Cairo Demographic Centre, Egypt (2001), and attended summer/short courses on population/reproductive health at the East-West Centre, Honolulu, Hawai USA (2000), centre for population studies, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2004), and The Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore (USA, 2005)
Kim Maria Misao
Kim Maria Misao is Country Director-India, Free The Slaves, New Delhi. She has 18 years of mid and senior management experience working in national and international non-profit organizations in various states of India. Have worked in the arena of Sustainable Development vis a vis the Millennium Development Goals (livelihood, health, education) An alumnus of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Gujarat and Jesus & Mary Collage, Delhi University, Kim has worked with CASA, IFHD, HIVOS and Skill share international before taking over the Country Directorship at Free the slaves USA.

He is committed to the cause of ethical and wholistic healthcare and to the elimination of inequalities in healthcare provision because of geographical, socio-cultural, economic and gender biases.

Mr.David Solomon

David is an experienced development professional with demonstrated capacities in Strategic Planning, Program Evaluation, Strategic Partnerships for NGOs. Strong team management skills with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Osmania University. Till recently he was with B-ABLE (Basix Academy For Building Lifelong Employability) as Business Head and also as Head of South States. Also as Head-National Employability Centre for a short stint. David has a very extensive experience in International and national field across eastern India (Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha), North India states and south India and has held senior responsibilities in Catholic Relief Services, National Employability Centre and Centre for Vocational Education & Workforce Development. He also served as Executive Director, ECLOF India. .
