GOAL & OBJECTIVES
Goal: Save lives and restore the dignity of 4,000 severely flood-affected families in 20 villages of Sivasagar & Charaideo Circle of Assam within 30 days.
Objectives:
- Food Security: 30 days dry
- Shelter: Tarpaulins + shelter tools for damaged houses
- WASH: Safe drinking water + hygiene to prevent disease outbreak
- Protection: Bedding + Dignity kits for women, children, elderly
- Awareness and protection of affected families from Human Trafficking
Expected Outcomes:
- Relief for 30 days of food and give hope to 4000 families in 20 flood-affected villages.
- Prevent infections and sickness by ensuring personal hygiene for 20000+ children, adolescent girls, and women.
- Promote cleanliness and hygiene practices within communities.
- Distributed essential items for daily essentials to the 4000 most affected families.
- 20000+ families are safe and protected through awareness on Human Trafficking, Child Labour, Gender Equality.
About Oasis India
Oasis India is a non-profit organization that commenced its work in Mumbai in 1993 and was formally registered as a society in 1994. For over three decades, Oasis India has been committed to preventing human trafficking and empowering vulnerable children, women, youth, and families through holistic community development. What began as outreach among street-connected children in Mumbai has grown into a nationally recognized organization implementing integrated programmes across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Assam, Meghalaya, and West Bengal through direct implementation and strategic partnerships. In 2026, Oasis India expanded its intervention in Nagaland and Mizoram, as well.
Our emergency response aims to bring immediate relief, ensuring families receive not only essential supplies but also care, dignity and hope for the future.

Mission: To prevent human trafficking for sexual exploitation and forced labour by transforming the lives of vulnerable women, children, and young adults, while addressing the root causes of trafficking, including social discrimination, poverty, disasters, and climate-induced displacement.
Guided by its vision and mission, Oasis India works in partnership with communities, government departments, educational institutions, churches, corporate partners, and civil society organizations’ to build safe, resilient, and empowered communities. Through its integrated programmes, the organization strengthens protection systems, expands access to quality education and sustainable livelihoods, promotes gender equality and child safety, and enables vulnerable individuals and families to live with dignity, hope, and opportunity, free from exploitation.
Oasis India had provided relief to more than 3000 families during the following disaster emergencies:
- Covid 1st and 2nd waves
- Moreh (Manipur) Relief 2022
- Manipur Conflict 2023
- Chennai Michung Cyclone Relief 2023
Oasis India is an active member of Inter Agency Group – Assam, which is a confederation of NGOs in Assam who are active in Humanitarian Response. Besides, Oasis India is a member of SPHERE India, and subscribed the nine Core Humanitarian Standard. Oasis India emphasises compliance to its Emergency Response Guidelines in emergency response.
