1st U-12 Grassroots Football League – Kicking Off with Passion & Purpose!

The 1st U-12 Grassroots Football League, organized by Oasis India in Churachandpur, kicked off with great excitement on February 1, 2025, at the Fulltime Arena Turf Ground, Hmarveng. The event was inaugurated by Shri. Tongkhomang Haokip, Head of NER, and the kick-off ceremony was led by Shri. Seiminthang Lenthang, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur.

Why This League Matters

This league is more than just football—it’s about creating awareness! Through our theme, “Green Goals,” we aim to not only nurture young football talent but also educate children, coaches, and football academies about the dangers of substance abuse and alcohol. Coaches are encouraged to go beyond teaching football skills and actively engage kids in discussions about leading a healthy, substance-free life.

The Competition & Teams

With 6 football academies participating, the league is packed with action, skill-building, and teamwork. The opening day featured three exciting matches, where young players showcased their energy, talent, and love for the game.

A Supportive Crowd

The atmosphere was electric, with families and friends cheering from the sidelines! Parents showed up in full support, encouraging their kids and reinforcing the importance of community involvement in shaping young athletes.

A Great Start & What’s Next

The first day of the league was a huge success, with incredible participation and enthusiasm from the kids. As the league continues, we look forward to more exciting matches, learning moments, and inspiring performances. The event will wrap up with a grand final on March 29, 2025, where the champions will be crowned!

At Oasis India, we believe that football is more than just a game—it’s a tool for building a healthier, stronger, and more responsible future for our children.
