Our summer of sports and adventure camps has been fun. And it’s rewarding to see the joy and excitement on the young people’s faces as they meet challenges, learn skills and break records!
When the boys realized they had broken the relay-marathon record, you would have thought they had won the world cup from their high fives, smiles and yells. It was great to be a part of it and share in their joy. It was especially sweet since most of these boys have little to celebrate in their daily lives. And it was the first time they’d played a part in such a big event.
So if you have the chance to get involved with young people in your community, take it. It will make such a difference to them and it may just make a difference to you. And you can give. None of our work can happen without financial support. For example, it cost around Rs. 1250 to send one boy on the adventure camp in Bangalore.
