Lathika was informed about the training opportunities at Jacob’s Well, before she had completed her tenth standard. The 21 year old believes that the training Jacob’s Well has nurtured her and given her opportunities to grow in many different areas.
The tailoring training that Lathika received had ignited her desire to learn. She then successfully managed to complete her tenth standard. She hopes to graduate and become an accountant in the coming years.
Lathika, after training, began working for Jacob’s Well. “I have been working here since the past 5 years and am thoroughly enjoying all the aspects of work. Jacob’s Well is responsible for all I am today.”
Besides being tutored in tailoring, Lathika has also received tutoring in the English language and using computers. These skills have helped her attain efficiency in the report writing and production aspects of her work.
Jacobs Well is a brand owned by Oasis as well as a fair trade ethical production facility for designers and others with production needs.
