Become leaders, Kanimozhi tells kids

CHENNAI: Member of Parliament Kanimozhi on Saturday lent her support to the cause of anti-human trafficking by printing her hand print on a `Stop the Traffik’ banner along with children of Oasis Centres for Learning in India. Addressing children belonging to economically backward classes, she urged them to attend school regularly, study well and become leaders in their own spheres. She presented awards to football, cricket and volleyball teams.

Additional Director General of Police of Economic Offices Wing R.Nataraj said education and poverty alleviation were important in the battle against human trafficking.

Oasis India executive director John Nonhebel spoke.
